This money themed activity pack features the picture book Alexander, Who Used To Be Rich Last Sunday by Judith Viorst.

Providing money focused language arts activities for PreK- Grade 2, this activity pack starts by introducing the concept of money through dramatic play.  Next, we do money based sensory exploration, fine motor/ prewriting skills, letter identification and sight word practice.  As kids advance, we move to writing a letter to the story’s main character. The final activities focus on discussing financial values and making a plan for saving, including creating a written plan and a visual tracker.

A total of 8 differentiated activities, plus an easy, engaging field trip idea are included in each pack.  Also included are a full set of printables, additional resources, a dramatic play invitation, and literacy questions related to the featured book.

A fully differentiated, common core aligned activity pack, it can be used at home or in the classroom!
